BIOMAX F/I (Dual Purpose with Permethrin)
Code 7603 for 6 x 2 187gm sachets
USE A combination of Permethrin, Propiconazole and IPBC in a power pack 187 gm water soluble sachet. Permethrin is a member of the class of molecules known as synthetic pyrethroids. Permethrin is a neuro- toxin, it works on the insects by disrupting the function of the central nervous system. Permethrin is effective against all stages of insects from eggs through to adult. Biokil Crown Biomax F/I also contains 2 powerful fungicides, Propiconazole and IPBC to give added protection against fungal decay, these two fungicides compliment each other giving an overall spectrum of activity better than either of the fungicides alone. PROPERTIES Extremely stable concentrates with no phase separation Extremely stable dilutions with no phase separation allowing mixes to be retained for later use Very even dose treatment Spontaneous inversion to (o/w) microemulsion on dilution with water Fully solvent free technology with no volatility issues No exposure of operators to concentrated pesticide Packaging can be disposed of in general refuse Significant reduction in plastic waste Significant reduction in paper waste Virtually no odour Non-flammable Good penetration Insecticide/Fungicide Power Pack DESCRIPTION Biomax F/I concentrate is supplied in a water soluble sachet, which is water dilutable for use. It has a Health and Safety Executive statutory 1-hour re-entry time, or until surfaces are dry, before occupants may re-occupy the property requiring treatment. The special micro-emulsion formulation leads to better penetration than obtained with the older traditional water based emulsified preservatives. It will provide the necessary control and long term protection of wood against woodboring insect infestation and wood decay for many years thereby giving confidence in any issued long-term guarantee. Biokil Crown Chemicals formulations are all cleared under the Governments Pesticide Safety Precaution scheme and under the Control of Pesticide Regulations 1986, for use as directed and carries the HSE Approval No 7820. Bats: The active ingredients Permethrin, Propiconazole and IPBC have been accepted by the Nature Conservancy bodies as suitable for the treatment of roof voids where bats roost. However it is a legal requirement to notify the appropriate Nature Conservancy body prior to any treatment of roof spaces where bats have been identified. Treatment must not be carried out whilst bats are at roost (see Safety). METHOD Dilute 2 Biomax F/I 187gm sachets with 25 litres of water. The diluted product can be applied by brush or spray at the rate of one litre of product per 3 to 5 square metres of timber surface to refusal. Timber to be treated should be reasonably dry before treatment. Any paint varnish or other surface coating should be removed. Any bark should be removed to increase penetration of the treatment.
