Three Joint Patents applied on Asparagus racemosus(Shatavari) and Terminalia chebula (Harde) Nos. of Winter / Summer school attended 12 Govt. of India( from DBT/DST/Medicinal Plants Board, Dept. of ISH&H) Sponsored : 6 projects completed(Total Project Cost INR = 151 Lakhs) Developing and Establishing Commercial Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory(1.5 Million Plants/Year Capacity) at Maliba Campus,Uka Tarsardia University;Supported by National Horticultural Mission,New Delhi through Gujarat Nos. of R & D projects under taken / State Horticultural Mission ; Started in March 2012 and completed in Jan 2013(Total Budget Cost: 150 Lakhs).Now, the Laboratory is in operation and supplying subsidized tissue culture planting matrerials of Banana and Sugarcane Varieties to local Farmers as a part of Extension Activities Foreign company’s supported Joint Venture Projects(Munich-Germany, Osaka-Japan & Singapore): 3 Projects completed(Total Project Cost INR 162 Lakhs)  Awarded best project for “Transfer of Technology to Industry” on 11,May 2002 by DBT-DST, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The Technology has been Transferred to Industry.  Merit Scholarships/Research Fellowships held: Junior Research Fellow – UGC, Govt. India(4years); Senior Research Fellow – C.S.I.R., Govt. India(2years); Research Associate(as Post Doctoral Research) – C.S.I.R., Govt. India(2years); Scientist Pool Officer – C.S.I.R., Govt. India(3years).  Visited UK, Germany, Kuwait and Nigeria for Research Purpose.  Ph.D. Recognized Guide in Plant Biotechnology with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat and Uka Tarsadia University, Bardoli; Presently 6 students registered & conducting Research for their Ph.D.  Wide Research Experience on Medicinal Plants (worked on more than 25 high demanded medicinal plants) - Value Addition, Cultivation and Commercial Scale Field and Laboratory R &D works with Zandu Pharmaceutical Ltd & its Group.  Vast Experience on bulk Production of various species of Medicinal Plants through Tissue Culture Technology, and Organic & Bio-fertilizer based Cultivation of Medicinal Plants.  Associated as Technical Advisor to a Foreign Company’s commercial R & D Projects progressing in Nigeria with M/S Hamdani Farm Ltd and stayed in Ilorin during May- June 2009 to start the project; Currently commercialization of Tissue Culture Banana, Papaya, Watermelon and other commercial crops are in progress since June 2009.  Visited University of Ilorin (Unilorin), Nigeria in March 2013 for signing MoU between Uka Tarsadia University and Unilorin for students & teachers exchange programme and research collaboration; it is in progress.  Developed and Established Commercial scale Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, capacity: 1.5 million plants/annum, on the name of “Maliba Research Centre for Excellence in Plant Tissue Culture” at C G Bhakta Institute of Biotechnology, Uka Tarsadia University; total cost of the project: INR 150 Lakhs; Received sanction of project grant INR 65 Lakhs from National Horticultural Mission, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India.  International Research Collaboration as Project Advisor & Project Incharge: Domestication, Field Performance and Yield Potential of Tissue Culture Plants of Five Indian Popular Banana(Musa paradisiaca L.) Varieties in Ilorin, Kwara State,Nigeria. In collaboration with C G Bhakta Institute of Biotechnology, Uka Tarsadia University,India, University of Ilorin,Nigeria and M/S Hamdani Farm Limited, Ilorin Nigeria. 5 yrs duration R&D project proposed; Seeking Funding Support from Nigerian Govt Dept. Project Cost Estimate: INR 250 Lakhs.
